Raf Simons AW97’ ‘Youngsville’ collegiate crewneck
From autumn winter 1997, one of Rafs first debuts into modern menswear with his original take on the classic college crewneck. This is one of the earliest moments on record in which Raf began to really push personal mark and style through sweatshirts or ‘jumpers’. As he said himself later in interviews, he wasn’t trying to impress anyone or do anything crazy, it was more about just making what him and his peers envisioned wearing , representing them.
This youngsville graphic crew can be seen directly in the runway under blazer, it comes with a sliced half sleeve look and a cropped hem. This one is tagged sz 46, fitting accommodating opposed to some smaller ones on the market, more of a size medium-slim large. Tag is yellowed but sweatshirt is in beautiful condition overall. Purple graphic is far and far between now so please consider, thank you !
