Undercover AW03’ paper doll mohair knit

$1,100.00

From Undercover Autumn winter 2003’,

(in personal opinion) Jun’s best conceptual season, is a knit from “Paperdoll”. There were few highly coveted items produced in limited quantity from the collection, this striped red black mohair being one of them. Paying homage to the late Kurt Cobain who passed not just a decade earlier. Nirvana and the early grunge scene had a heavy impact on Jun Takahashi and his work. The Freddy Kruger style mohair can be seen on the artist in videos such as “Sliver” and countless other performances. The story was that apparently Courtney love saw the original on a teenager behind stage, pointed it out to Kurt, and eventually ended up buying it off the kid for her then boyfriend who would go on to rock and beat the ever living shit out of it. This piece really hasn’t been worn and is in great condition, very reminiscent to vintage ones like it with a complementary v-neck cut. Tagged size large it fits a comfortable L-XL

Color- (red/black)
